The City of Raymore, Missouri is accepting applications for full-time Police Officer vacancies. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, be POST certified or able to obtain certification in the State of Missouri prior to employment and possess a valid drivers license without a record of suspension or revocation in any state. Residency within a 35-mile radius of the city is required. A background investigation to include a criminal history check, written exam, oral board interview, polygraph test or equivalent, post-offer drug screen, physical and psychological examination will be conducted. Police officers work 12-hour shifts that rotate annually. The City offers excellent fringe benefits and a competitive starting salary. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
